When I step on the gas, I hear a grinding at low speeds. Once I get above 40 or 50 I don't hear it anymore. But the grinding is unmistakable so I know something must be wrong. Any ideas?

This problem usually occurs when you need your brake changed. Have had this happen many times. Once the rotors get to a higher speed the grinding will sound like it has stopped but when your going slower you hear it. You should be able to feel it soon if your not already when you hit your brakes.

Could be many things! Possibly you need brakes, the rear end might be on it's way out, a bad wheel bearing, transmisssion problems????? Take it to a mechanic and have it diagnosed!
