i'm trying to sell my car and the only person who wants it, wants to make monthly payments on it. i can't give her the title untill it's paid off but she can't get insurence till she gets the title. so how do i set it up so we don't get screwed?

I have apartments in 2 states (OH and MA). Both BMVs require me to have an in-state driver's license to register a car, and you can only have one driver's license. But I need to have a car at each residence. How do rich people that have multiple homes handle this?

My car has been in a Toyota approved body shop for 42 weeks;any one had this happen to them what was the outcome.

Can I tell the insurance company to keep it and give me the value of the car at the time of the accident
.
Are there alternatives I can claim for.

I have been supplied with another car in the meantime but can not use it for working as I need a Tow Bar fitted.

The other vehicle was at fault. The driver, does not own the vehicle, but lives with the owner. Their insurance co. will not pay any money or even set me up with a rental until they contact the owner. It has been over a month now, and he has not answered their phone call. I have no idea why he's hiding. Possibly warrants out for his arrest, who knows. He has coverage, so he has no reason to hide. The driver stopped answering phone calls as well. The police report states clearly that the other driver was at fault. The other insurance company doesn't seem to care, but I don't have a vehicle, am out $400 for a rental that I had to pay myself, and I'm missing work. How long should I wait before I take this to court?....or is there a better route to take? I've filed a complaint with the department of insurance, but even that hasn't mad the other ins. company speed up the process. Should I maybe take the owner to small claims court?

to test drive a new car the salsperson ask for your drivers license and s/s # yet the salesperson goes with you on the test drive.Is this legal in all states? I understand license# s/s# in case you steal the car but is it legal for them to ask and get this info?

i want to buy a car under my sisters name well technicaly im not buyin it but she will let me drive it until im done with college,but the thing is she dusnt have a driving license so can she register the car showing proof of insurance under my name..or does it have to b under her name.

Last night I was involved in a very severe accident. I hit the back of the other car while either he was stopped in the fast line or was going by 10 mi/hr. I was going 65mi/hr and I dont think I had any chance for any maneuver. When CHP arrived they suspected other cars driver and I guess they were doing DUI test on him.
finally they decided to arrest him but he hit both officers and tried to escape and finally got arrested.
Do you guys think that I have to prepare to go to court? do I need to get a lawyer? I have full coverage insurance on my car can this person sue me for something?
he didnt seem to have any problem at that time.

I just purchased a 1997 isuzu rodeo, Do i have to get a smog check? He said he smogged it, but by law do I have to get a smog check again for when I go to the DMV? The last time it was smogged was 2005, according to a carfax record. There is no record of it being smogged since 2005.

We bought our car on sat arvo, and on saturday evening we were driving and got caught in the middle of a police pursuit. The car that they were pursuing hit our car, and then took off with police in toe. The car was stolen, and we hadnt insured our car yet. I've not yet applied for a learner permit, but want to buy a car. Can I get a theft only policy whilst I store the car and keep it in a garage? If you know of an insurer that would be helpful in NY state that would be useful. Geico, just say they need a license, but I've heard thats not necessary, just prefereable.

im 17 and im about to get a car from a friend but i wanted to know if my mom can just add the car to her insurance and not say anything about me driving it. then i can drive it and the car will still be insured right? thats basically what im doing right now anyway. i have my permit and im driving my mom's car to practice in, but the insurance company doesnt know that. my friend has his liscense and his parents gave him his own car, but the insurance company doesnt know hes driving it. if he got into an accident, wouldnt his parents insurance cover it since the car is in their name?

to make a long story short, someone i know wants to trade their car for my car...my car has not been fixed yet...and i wont be fixing it...i am just wanting to trade it as is...since it has a salvaged title....and i have not recieved a copy of the title, can i trade the vehicle with her straight across...and will i get a copy of the title??? there was already a 2500 dollar less salvage bid that to my understanding that was payed.....so im just trying to find out if i can sell/trade it now or if i am going to get a title or what??? im confued i need help...thanks
