From my personal experience I made sure everyone was okay. Called 911. Then started to exchange the information needed. Many times with the car insurance company you do need a police report. Another thing I suggest is take pictures of your car, when you get it. Because if you have to fill a claim than at least you have information on what the car looked before the accident...

Depends on the nature of the accident? Passanger, no passanger, other car involved...or you hit a pole and you're alone. If you're unconscious, then you can't do much of anything except to lay there.

But, if you're conscious, make certain of passangers condition, call police immediately with or without injuries. If you're able, go over to the other car involved and see if everyone is okay.

Once you call the police and tell them that's there's injuries, 9/11 will automatical dispatch the fire department and EMS.

make sure your passenger is ok!! If you have one, that is. Otherwise, get out and see if the other party is ok, then go from there.
