Basically I got 2 tickets last september, hit and run and careless driving, but they were reduced down to impeding traffic and failure to report an accident. I'm getting a new insurance policy and I don't know if I should tell them what really happened. So I want to know if when they look up my records if they'd be able to see what my original charges were or if they'll just see impeding traffic and failure to report and accident.

My dad bought me a car, and we need insurance. Temporarily, he put the car under his insurance. It only has liability coverage for now. We need to add comprehensive coverage but need to know if it is alright for me to drive the car under his name in case of an accident. (Insurance for a teen is very expensive.)

I would guess that cars of similar type with car alarms are stolen no more than 5 percent less than cars without alarms. I suppose each of us has to weigh whether the reduced risk is worth the hassle to ourselves and neighbors when, as too often happens, the thing goes off inadvertently. A careful answer should address the fact that expensive cars are both worth more to steal and worth putting up with more hassle.

I was in my first car accident on Saturday. The other driver was at fault, was I supposed to get his insurance information? When I call my company what exactly are their responsibilities? Keep in mind I've been driving for 10 years and never had an accident I just paid the insurance and kept it moving. All the offices are closed until Tuesday, do I need to get a copy of an accident report? I was also out of town when the accident occured like 600 miles from where I live can they fax it to me? Help!
