I have got quote from almost all the comapnies, esurance, geico, state farm, farmers, allstate, and some more . All of them gave me quotes in the upper $2500 for full coverage. The only one were less was allstate $2100 and Geico for $1400 thats full coverage for 6 months. Do you guys usually pay this much. I'm 21 and this the first time I'm gettin insurance.

I was involved in a car accident a couple of weeks ago that was the other person's fault. I really do not want to hire an attorney but I do not want to get screwed on my medical settlement either. In general, what should I expect to get for the medical portion. I have heard 3 times your expenses (to allow for pain & suffering, inconvience, etc). Is that usually true? Also, I've had people tell me that my insurance company should be dealing with the other person's insurance company for me. Yes? Is that the best way?

I'm 17 yrs old and recently got my provisional license in NJ about 2 months ago.

My parents have been insured at High Point Insurnce Company for the past 5 yrs and they have no accident record.

However, the insurance rate will skyrocket if they add me on to their list of drivers.

Can I get my own insurance coverage at GIECO insurance agency at a lower rate and still use my parents' cars?

Or would I pay lower initial amount by adding onto my parents insurance coverage (Full coverage)?

Please help me

Thanks

I was recently in an accident. The other party has admitted fault and their insurance is paying for everything, however, I would just rather the car be considered "totaled" and start all over. I've determined through internet research that is worth about 21,000 at the most and 16,000 at the least. The insurance adjuster informed me that there are $9,000 + worth of damages. How do I get them to write it off as a total loss?

Anyone else out there been in a similar situation? I have perfect insurance now to cover the damage, but im fighting a moral dillema of what to do next. Please spare me the hate, im not looking for anyone to tell me im a bad person for even thinking of claiming this because i probably wont do it. And yes yes, im sure there are ppl out there who just cant wait to tell me im stupid for not having good insurance to begin with, well...when your insurance runs out and you recive no notice in the mail...and you work 40+ hours a week, battle severe depression, take care of two disabled parents, live on your own, pay your own bills...well...these things slip away unnoticed sometimes, and it hurts alot when people cant wait to point fingers and call people names and tell you its your responisbilty and your dumb...anyway...spare me all that...i already know the mistake i made...what i dont know is if anyone has ever filed a claim after buying insurance and been in the clear.

A vehicle hit our home causing extensive damage. the claim has been settled, however, one of the renovation companies , when they received their cheque from the adjusters, received their payment less the deductible. The renovation company has since been trying torecover the deductible from us. We have been trying to sort it out with the adjusters,(3 in the past year) with the understanding that the deductible should have been recovered from the party at fault. this is an ongoing dispute and now the company has gone to a collection agency, and we still believe we shouldn't be paying the deductible, which is a substantial amount since it wasn't even our fault to begin with. Who should be paying?

I side-swiped a guard-rail about a month ago. I got my check and am going to have it repaired. I have a 500 dollar deductible. I will still owe about $900. Is there any formula to figure it out? My insurance company said they had know way of knowing until they do their billing. The surcharge will be over a 6 year period.

Any help is appreciated.

In October 2005, I was at a complete stop and was rear-ended by a 15 year old who was going at least 40 mph. I suffered from whiplash and a torn rotator cuff. I went through physical therapy for about 7 weeks which did not help. I had to have surgery in May 2006 and 8 additional weeks of therapy. Even now, I am still in pain. My Orthopedic surgeon believes I have not healed because of some type of autoimmune issue (non diagnosed arthritis ). So I was referred to a Rheumatologist who believes that I have reactive arthritis. She believes that the surgery caused a "flare up."

I have never had an issue with shoulder pain before the accident. How would the claim department view this case? Would they reduce my claim because they felt I had a pre-existing medical condition? The sum of my medical bills so far is about $19,500, my car had $3300 damage and I had $2000 lost wages. I have a lawyer and I am required to pay my health insurance once I receive my settlement.
