As an ex Taxi Driver i feel i must say something
Taxi drivers are like any other driver there are good ones and bad ones i moved from taxi driving to waggon driving
Taxi drivers have a problem,
where as other people will go to work and there rate of pay is £4-£5ph a taxi driver is maybe getting something like £2-£2.50ph so the only way they make any money is in tips and what we used to call flyer(jobs not booked with the office) so they tend to drive erratically.
This irrational driving technique is down mostly to youth
But as the driver gets more adept to this driving technique he/she comes more capable of handling the vehicle at such speeds,
as far as not indicating goes do bus drivers indicate?
I drove a taxi for 16 years with three accidents two of which were car drivers running into me.
What you and other people need to do is lighten up think the average taxi driver drives for ten sometimes 12 hours a day and clocks up on average 100+miles a day
And if your doing that amount of mileage for £24 well you need to get a few quid in tips so the quicker you get about town the more cash you have the potential of making.
If you want to winge about driver try BMW drivers.

It seems that you have not been to other country's as then you might understand the driving habits and that the UK drive better than most, yes even taxi drivers. If you could only see outside my window now there are cars overtaking on the inside and the outside at the same time plus they just turn out in front of you without even looking. Its like non contact stock car racing all the time.

Yes I do. Late at night and on Bank Holidays they seem think they own the roads and must think that every other car driver has had a drink.
They change the laws too. When compulsory seat belt wearing came into force they got themselves exempted on safety grounds. What safety grounds? Bus lanes were introduced and they got that changed to 'no car' lanes.

Bus drivers are worse though, but I've noticed Glasgow taxis are much better.

Donkeys with mobiles and smokers trying to spark up driving suck the most in my opinion

Bit of a generalisation there. I wouldn't say I hate taxi drivers, just bad drivers.

How good is your driving?
