My insurance is State Farm. In 14 years of driving I've never before had to file a claim and I'm wondering how it works. What if you wait too long?

I had my license for just a week short of one year. When I got my car insurance last year "Inexperienced driver" was incorporated in my fee. How long does it take to no longer be considered inexperianced? One year? how many?....by the way I have Farmers insurance

i bought a new 06 toyota tundra, after exactly one week of buying my truck i was involved in an accident. it was honestly not my fault. another truck cut off a car, the car tried to avoid hitting that truck and lose control of his car. instead of hitting that truck, he hit my truck instead. if he hadn't hit my truck however, he would have gone straight to a propane tank. it only had less than 500 miles on my odometer when it happened. is there anyway that the insurance of the other car that hit me be able to get me a new truck like mine before. i already filed a claim with my insurance and took my truck to the body shop. my insurance would subrogate the cost to the other car's insurance to get my truck fix. but since it has been involved in an accident, the trade in value would be depreciated. so my question is, is there any way for me to get a new truck instead of getting my brand new truck fix.

I was involved in a car accident where the other driver was attempting to make a left turn and crashed into me while I was in the intersection going straight. I had the right of way since my light was green, so he had to yield to oncoming traffic. There were no witnesses, so the officer who responded made her decision based on what the other driver and I told her. She cited the other driver with reckless - therefore he was at fault. Well...now he's telling his insurance (Geico) something else - that he indeed had a green turn arrow (LIAR!). So now, the claims adjuster wants to know why the officer ruled in my favor inside of the other party. I thought the police report showing he was charged with reckless confirms he was at fault...why is the claims person going into this further thus prolonging my car getting fixed? The officer made her decision based on the facts she received. Case closed, right? Could I end being screwed in the end because the other guy is lying??

Thanks!

So I am driving the other day , I go into an intersection and a guy from the far left lane goes into the middle lane after I am getting in with my signal. He goes in with out signaling, so he hits the front of my car and then stops. We get out and once I get to call the cops he makes a run for it. I am just curious because I had a person in the car with me. Can they be my witness and does he running make it his fault ?

from the person who damaged my car, is the insurance company obligated to pay the deductible to an auto body repair shop, or am I allowed to receive the amount and replace the part(s) myself (and save labor costs)?

The other driver reported the accident on his insurance company but we decided that we'll settle the damages outside the insurance company to prevent my rates from going up.

The other insurance company is contacting me now. Does it mean that my insurance company knows about the accident and will raise my insurance rates even if we dont settle this insurance to insurance?

I may have to do this for a summer job - if I do that, however, do I have to change it back to an Ontario license in the fall? Or do I still retain my Ontario driver status and just have a license for two different provinces?

I am currently 4 months pregnant. I turned 21 in Oct. and didnt get my license renewed because well...i guess i was being lazy. While i was driving my boyfriend to work with my son in the backseat, i stopped for a bus (on a backroad). Kids got off the bus and the bus drivers "stop" sign was still flashing. I was behind the bus...well when i was stopped and waiting..a women came up behinde me and rear ended my car. i didnt hit the bus...my car just spun out of control and she smashed my break lights in and my trunk is smashed a bit as well. she was driving her mom and dads car with liability insurance. i on the other hand discontinued insurance on my car so was without. is there any case for me out of this or am i just simply screwed? my mom says call a lawer to see if i can get anything out of it b/c people are suposed to carry non insured cars insurance????? what do you think?
my son and i were fine, along with my boyfriend. all checked by the EMT's. my blood pressure was a bit high.

My ex husband co signed for my daughter on an auto loan. His girlfriend was mad and he refianced the car with another bank and now he is the only one on the loan, title and regestration. I am quite sure that my daughter had to sign the title also and she did not. Either my ex did or his girlfriend did. He then showed up here yesterday and took that car. What is my recourse and where do I go from here? Per the original bank, she needed to sign the title also. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hello - I was involved in an auto-accident in March of 2006 in which both insurance companies (mine and hers) agreed that it was the other party's fault and I was a zero-liability. Their insurance company (let's call them "Venus", of ease) has asked for receipts ($1000 in rentals which my coverage does not cover), my deductible amount and any other amount which I had to put out (total is about $1,700). I have waited since April for them to pay me. I get letters from "Venus" every other week saying they are "pending further investigation" - but, I am at wits-end and want my money which I had to pay-out for an accident that everyone acknowledges is not my fault.

Does anyone know what the law/rules are in California and how long they can take to pay after they find the other party is at fault? Also, what can I word in a strongly worded letter to get this finally paid. I dont want to hire lawyer for such a low amount - but, that extra 1700 sure would be nice at the moment. Thanks! Chris
