would my insurance cover it, or hers? I'm not talking about an accident, looks like someone hit it in the parking lot.

Does the insurance company give you the blue book value for a car in good condition or bad condition? Also, do they take in to account if the accident was my fault, as far as settling?

Initially, she had whiplash. Our car was totaled. She had difficulty moving her head to one side for about a month and was on pain killers for months too. She could not play with or pick up her daughter for about a month or two and constantly lay in bed when she wasn't working (as a teacher). Now, a year later, she still cannot turn all the way to one side but feels OK otherwise. She can turn most of the way/nearly all the way, and it doesn't affect her normal functioning.

Our medical bills were minimal because of insurance, and we never got x-rays, even though she went to the emergency room on the day of the accident and saw doctors subsequently.

She may settle in the next week but I wanted to get any opinions on a fair amount. I won't say what's being offered because I don't want to affect your opinions.

Thank you.

I am going spare! I was rearended, the other car's insurance accepted responsiblity. But the adjuster has been rude on the phone. I keep having to phone to get the car rental amount for extra days - the adjuster said the car needs further work, so an extra ten days rental. I decided to take a daily cash amount instead of a car rental. But the insurer keeps trying to stop paying, even though the car is not fixed yet. The insurance adjuster sent me something in writing saying the car would take another ten days. Then I got a phone message saying "yes, we'll pay a few more days, up to the ten" - and then literally two minutes later "sorry - we've payed enough, we won't pay after all". It is driving me nuts! I think the insurance should pay at least for the days they said the car would be in the repair shop - in fact it's now been in for longer than that, but that's even harder to get them to pay rental for...Any suggestions how to handle this? I don't like phoning this adjuster.

I've been offered a job which will require me to commute through driving. I need to rent a car for a period of 3 months and is trying to find the cheapest deal considering my circumstances.

I am 23 years old and only have a debit card. I plan to drive the car only on weekdays and will be commuting from San Francisco to San Refael (CA). I'm looking for a company that would not charge extra because I am under 25 (but has a good driving record) and will except payment from a debit card and/or from someone else's credit card. Are there any options for me? Thanks!

Okay check this out. It was a simple question for my case manager and she didn't give me a direct answer so I wanted to just here back from all of you out there. I have signed release forms on a $40,000 settlement my lawer gets 33.3% (13,320). I visted a chiropractor no more than 50 times (just cracked my back and neck) and visited a doctor once for a steroid shot in my leg. How much should I expect for them to take? My case manger stated she couldn't say because they are trying to get them reduced as much as possible.

My sons are having a discussion. They want opinions on the following: If a car was made before car registration laws were passed. Does the car have to be registered? Or are they grandfathered in?

I used to stay in CA and I have zero violations, basically my record in CA is 100% clean. Then I moved to Indiana for college for a few years. There I got a moving violation ticket and I also made a claim with my insurance company (progressive) for a minor property damage; I crashed into my apartment's carport (this wasn't major accident and only my insurance and apartment know)
So, I have moved back to CA now, and Im considering getting insurance from other companies. Will they know my driving record in Indiana (1 moving violations ticket and the 1 claim i made to progressive)? What are the consequences of witholding this info? My driving record in CA is very clean and Im concerned about disclosing info that I should't have to. I will probably tell them about the claim i made to progressive. but is it ok not to tell them of my moving vioaltions ticket? know they can check from MVR for driving record and from CLUE for claims. But will they check my IN record or CA only?I have CA licens

On a Stop Sign, Truck infront of me take off, and stops all of sudden, I rear ended that truck by my car, and got a small scratch on on my bumper.
This happened in August 2004. There were three people in that truck. They call 911, nothing was reported.
Next day they call my insurance company, upon looking into their
paperwork and dur to just soft tissue injuries, My insurance offered them just $450.00 in claims.

They went to small claims on November 2004 without notifying me, but they took the case off due to some reasons. I got a paper from small claims court regading the cancellation of case.

Now this year August 2006, they filed a small claims against me directly without involving insurance company. I have a court date in Feb. 07.

Please help me, what should I do. Now they are claming $7500.00 each person. (Total 3)

My question is....will I have to provide proof of auto repair? Basically I know someone who can do the work for ALOT less then the insurance estimated/paid for. Just a little worried they may later ask for proof of repair. Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

I am about to take the driving test to get my first driver's liscense. I am wondering if the test is hard. Supposedly, there is a written test as well as a driving test that I must pass in order to get my liscence. What are some things that I should study or prepare for in order to pass these tests?
