Contact the DMV! and if you want call a lawyer and see what they say. i usually give my tickets to my lawyer and let him take care of it.

Something got messed by your county. Usually when you say you are going in to court they set up a date and send you a letter telling you when to show up. They messed something up if you were not in the system, and now there is a warrent.

When you went the first time, they are supposed to have stamped it with a date to prove that you've been there. Courtesy note is NOT required to be sent to you since it's easy for a recipient to "not" receive it. You are technically supposed to check back every few weeks yourself.

wow, i know someone that happened to.

did you happen to get a paper from the courts the first time you went?
if not, you can still fight it. you went, you tried, so you should not have a problem.
