If your friend already has fully comp insurance u will probably find that he/she can legally drive it home for you on his/her insurance, which will cover him/her for third party usage & providing the said vehicle is not registered to him/her & it has tax & mot, but check first with his/her insurance company

Yes most brokers can do this for you, round about £20 depending on driver. If your buying off ebay then they did have a scheme running with norwich union to provide free short term insurance if you bought a car through ebay.

The 0.33 social gathering cover is a criminal requirement to pay for the wall you drove into! not taking completely comp is a threat you because the guy eliminating the reassurance want to make. you're the first individual not the 0.33 - damage to you and your resources (motor vehicle) are literally not lined. what did you imagine the version replaced into? replaced into is go away out offered to you - if so you've the flair for a declare adverse to the agency than offered you the coverage. regardless of if the coincidence replaced into not your fault they does not have paid you - you should want to declare off the different social gathering. very wealthy human beings in effortless words opt for 0.33 social gathering insurance because the fee of adjusting a motor vehicle will be cheeper than replacing the motor vehicle interior the destiny. at the same time as the motor vehicle should be written off in insurance words - you are able to probable be able to get it repaired and again on the line - extra ideal something than not something??

I needed some short term insurance and found a company called ebikeinsurance (for motorcycles).
They have another site for cars at http://www.ecarinsurance.co.uk/.
Their shortest term, however, is for a month. Worth asking for a quote though in their "pay as you go" section.

Insurance follows the car, not the person. So if you started your insurance today and had your friend pick up the car for you, he would be covered.

Yes you can get time-limited insurance policies. They're not cheap though. Phone a broker.
