Insurance & Registration - August 2006

Registration is coming up, for my boyfriends car. He has a DUI on his record, so he's unable to drive as it is, I'm the one who drives his car. I was wondering if I could get my insurance to cover his car since I'm the one who drives it even though I'm not the registered owner. And would DMV (in california) acknowledge it?

Hello
I am fifteen. I never drove. What are the steps to learn how to drive and get a driver's license here in FL? If I get a Driver's License will my father's Insurance go up? If it does what can I do to make it the same?

I am just about to get my license. My parents want me to have my own insurance policy; and I was wondering if anyone knows of a good company to go with. Something with good coverage, but relatively cheap; I only have a part time job. I am under 18 so I know that will influence a lot of how much it costs me and etc. Any input on this is greatly appreciated.

I've just relocated to the UK and have started living here on a 5-year work permit. I tried to do without, but I've decided that I'll need a car while living here. Last week I went to a used car dealership and was told that, although I can drive on my US license for a year, the insurance rate would be £3,000 per annum because I'm an American citizen. (Note that this is a quote for a relatively inexpensive Honda.) This seems ludicrously high to me and I'm neither willing nor able to pay this much for car insurance. How can I get a (much) more competitive insurance rate?

I was backing my car out and so was another car , we collided, the police wouldn't come because it was on private property, we are in disagreement on fault, how does the insurance work? He thinks I should pay for his damage, I think he should pay for mine.
