I've seen many DL's from different states. Most of them have one large face photo and one small same photo printed on it. I just can't understand the purpose of doing this. Is there anyone know why ?

It's a security thing! I could tell you more but then I'd have to eliminate you (lol).

It used to be really easy to make a fake ID witht the old licenses. It's just another security precaution. There were states that didn't even have pictures just over 20 years ago.

To make it harder to make a fake one. Less than 5 years ago NJ went from paper license with no picture to digital licenses with all that security crap on them.

Can't say that I've seen that. My license only has one photo. But I would think that it would be for anti-counterfeiting reasons.
