"The requirements to be a chauffeur vary depending on location. Most of the requirements are established on a state or municipality level. In addition to a regular driver's license, some areas require a chauffeur to obtain an additional license, and to meet certain minimum age and driving experience requirements."

Licensing requirements vary some from state to state. However in most cases the license class is determind by how many passengers the limo is allowed to carrie at one time. If it holds more than I believe 14 + the driver then the driver need a passenger endorsment. If the limo is too stretched then they might need a class "B". Safe driving!!!

It differs from state to state. Anywhere from Class C CDL depending on number of passengers (10+) to a Class B Commercial Drivers License.
