Is there a way I can increase the top speed on a stock 1966 Mustang with a 289 engine and C4 automatic transmission? I want my car to be able to go 70 mph at lower RPM's. For exapmle now my car does 2650 RPM's at 70 mph. I want to be able to go 70mph at lower RPM's such as 2300 RPM. Is this possible to do without any major modifications?

Can someone tell me what the different clasifications of Corvettes are? Does L42/L48 have to do with the motors or body style? I also know there are C classifications that have to do with modifications. Can anyone out thee clarify this stuff for me?

I am going to have to disagree. See I am 15 and I just got my learners a week ago and my parents bought me a black 2007 Pontiac Solstice GXP, and they handle great. Just because I'm young doesn't mean I can't handle the vehicle. Also it doesn't give me one temtation to do something stupid. I am smart enough to know that if you get a car you don't hot rod in it or race. I would strongly recommend it to a first time driver.

I have a 96 vw golf and recently i have been having problems switching gears. example. I could be in 3rd gear and when i go to switch to 4th the stik comes out of 3rd but wont go to 4th. its kinda like im hitting a wall or something once i get out of 3rd. The car has 70,000 miles on it. I had the engine and transmission checked by my mechanic and he says that it is in excellent condition. I also had a body shop check it out and they said everypart was original and that it had never been in any accidents.
I want to purchase it from a seller and i wanted to know if this car in general is any good. (are they to sluggish, speed, reliability, ect...)
