I have a renault Megane 1.6 16v petrol 2004.

Thing is im only getting 27MPG on normal every day driving, and 34MPG on motorway driving.

Is this the average or is there summat wrong???? I wouldnt say i race it and i change to a lower gear were possible, my average motorway speed is 70MPH.

renault 19 cabriolet, in the middle of the rear seat there is a hidden pull out thing, looks like a giant condom.. does any1 know what it is and does ?

It is a 2002 reg.The AA are puzzled. We have checked out the crankshaft sensor, correct fuel, fuel filter,etc. It has been suggested that it is the injector pump, but why does it run ok after a squirt of easy start? Any ideas please.

Right i lost my car keys,the car is locked,its a Renault Laguna.I bought a key off ebay,now the key does not open the car.So i have phoned Renault who said they may be able to do it,but how do i get the car to them?and if they can't do it,they keep my money as well, If i brake open the car,shall i try and re code it?do i need to change the inside bits ont he key fob? Is the key useless? Are all keys differently made,or is it just the inside nits that are different? I am really stuck here of knowing what to do next,any advice?

Hey guys need advice have a 02 1.8 laguna only building about 7 bar compression a cylinder 1 and about 13 bar in the rest.Put some oil in and brought it up to about 8 bar if even that.Am suspecting a burned exhaust valve maybe but am not pushed on taking the head off as the customer refuses to believe such a new car(5 years old ha)can have such a problem and isnt to big on spending some cash so any advice welcome thanks...

My turbo went on my renault grand scenic 2 weeks ago. The car is only 2 years old. Apparently this is a common fault with the renauly Dci, but not well heard of, even though renault are well aware of it. Just in case it happens to you, ask about their OTS scheme. Renault will assist towards the cost of the turbo. Just thought I would warn other renault car owners! I got the cost of mine down from 3,500 euro to 1300 euro bec i did my homework! iam sure there must be a good reason for this design, but the only thing i can think of is that it keeps the frost off the battery in the winter, if this is the case why not put it under the bonet & fit a lagging jacket (anti frost case) around the battery to keep the frost off,
