Do I have take it in to a garage immediately or will it b ok?

Do you mean emissions? If so This means your engine is not running at its best and emitting too much co/2. If you have a lot of miles on the car you could need a tune up but the problem could be as simple as a loose gas cap A stuck E.G.R.(exhaust gas recirculation valve) valve is also possible but most times that will make your car idle rough if it idles at all. The simple things you can check are a clogged air filter and a loose gas cap. If these things are o.k. You may need to see a mechanic.Good thing is a lot of emissions are covered under the manufactures warranty up to 100,000 miles consult your dealer.

Emissions - relates to the exhaust system usually. Get it done soon though.
