I really want a Jaguar but the budget wont stretch to it. So I'm looking at a VW Boro or a Passat or maybe a Saab 95. Which would you recommend? Do you have any experience with any of these cars? Or can you recommend a similar alternative?

You will not only earn points for helping me, you will earn my eternal gratitude :-)

I have an engine but i'm not sure how much power its got. Its a 350 bored to a 355 its got a edelbrock intake and carb(600cfm) headers wtih purple hornies glass packed mufflers, I think the heads have 1.94" intake 1.50" exhaust possibly 75 cc combustion chambers. It has a comp cam, but im not sure of the lift, but its not a very rough idle. I think thats about it but i could be wrong on some of these specs.

I cannot direct the heat to the defroster, or the floor, or the dash, etc. The heater and temperature control work great...just can't direct the heat where it's needed. It's currently putting out a little heat in all directions...a little to the defrosters, a little to the floor, a little to the dash, etc. Any suggestions?

I have a '97 Jetta with the check engine light on. I took it to Auto Zone and got a code. They couldn't tell me what it meant. They said it was a Volkswagon specific code and I would have to check with a Volkswagon dealer. The dealer was happy to set me up with an expensive diagnostic but they didn't want to just tell me what the code meant over the phone. If I can just find out what it means then maybe I can just buy the part and have someone fix it much cheaper. The code is: P1580.
Last Thursday and Friday the idle was lurching but the engine light wasn't on until today. I didn't drive it all weekend but today I noticed it wasn't lurching at first. But then it started doing it again. It does it when I'm idle or in first and second shift. I hope someone can help.

I have a 2006 Jeep Wrangler that is about 6 months old now. The other day I noticed a tiny pinhole in my top at one of the seams, that you can see daylight through. I took it to the dealership and they say that it is a cut and that it wouldn't be covered under warranty.

They suggested that I used some black silicone to "plug" the hole. Does this sound right? And can anyone recommend something that won't further damage the canvas of the top?

The car is a long luxurious coupe. The sign on the front and on the trunk looks like a Ford size and shaped oval but its only decorated with an "R" inside the oval Can anyone tell me the make and brand of this car? It might be made between 1994-1997. I saw it running couple times on the streets of LA county.

I've read the manual, but it doesn't completely make sense.

If the O/D is OFF or ON when I'm driving, how will it affect things?

If the O/D is off, does this give me more power when going up hills?

If so, will it help give me more power when I'm driving up snow-covered hills in four-wheel-drive mode?

I've got an automatic transmission (console not column). This has happened before, but a few runs through the gears solved it. Not this time.

Husband thought the truck was gelling up. Took it in, they put in a new fuel filter. Since the tank was almost half full, the mechanic told him to put a 70/30 mix of fuel in it, which should dilute the current blend of biodiesel enough to prevent it from gelling up again. Didn't work. The next day the same problem happened. Truck ran pretty rugged and had to put the pedal all the way to the floor before the truck would move. Another mechanic just told him it's the biodiesel that's clogging the fuel filter and that the truck isn't gelling up at all. Is this true? Other than not putting biodiesel in the tank, what can be done to prevent this? The last mechanic said he'll probably run through 4 or 5 fuel filters before the truck is back to normal.
