I have a 93' Lexus LS400 with 109k miles and the gas, speedometer, and tacometer gauges are lit up fine but only work intermitently. The gas gauge never goes above half full, but is usually on empty, even when there is plenty of gas. Also, you can tell what time the digital clock reads, but it has dark parts on the display like something is wrong. Now, I was wondering if this could be linked to my car running like the exhaust is clogged at low speeds and me having to take my foot off the gas and put it back on to power through it and it sounds like it is misfiring and just drives horribly, but I can get it up to highway speeds where it runs much better and gets decent gas mileage. I had a full tune-up, had the cats checked, and had a compression test done on the engine and nobody can find the problem Could there be fuses burnt out that affect the computer and make my car run horribly and also prevent the instrument cluster from working properly even though it is lit up perfectly?

Can a 2001 Lexus gs 300 use unleaded plus gas as well as premium. just purchased without the owners manual?

Also is their any sites on the net where you can purchase new or used owners manual,

1998-2000 LS 400 insurance?

How much would the insurance on a 1998-2000 Lexus LS 400 be for a seventeen year old? I would be on my parent's insurance program. Just a guess would be good. If you actually know, that would be great. Thanks.

LS, GS, SC, or IS?

Which one should I get as my first car (and don't tell me none of them, because it is going to be one): 1998 LS 400, 2002 GS 430/300, 1998 SC 400, or 2002 IS 300? I like all of them, but which one would be the best. I think I like the LS the best, but what do you think? They all cost around the same, anyway.

the tint on my lexus?

I have a 2001 lexus rx300, that looks exactly like this:

It had that same really cool metallic green tint, and you couldnt see into the rear windows. But 2 days ago, I went out to my car and my tint was just this light brown color, and I can see right through it. Im so sad, why did that happen?

I take good care of my car, and it looked amazing until this. Could a change in wheather cause this? I just cant believe it disapeared over night

ants attacking lexus?

hi. i have five cars parked on the parking lot of my house. they are olivian green 2004 bmw, dark green 2000 honda accord, silver 2000 honda odyssey, silver 1999 honda accord, dark green 2000 toyota rav4 and black 2007 lexus. these cars are pretty much parked the same amount of time as the other cars infront of my house. none of these cars are attacked by ants excepts for the 2007 black lexus. i dont see a single ant on any other cars except for this one. i recently bought this car brand new and wondering whats actually attracting these ants to the car. i tried washing the car everyday but still doesnt work. right after i finish washing i see ants on the roof and rear window. i believe if this situation continues, then i will start having ants inside the car and i have already seen one or two. i already called pesticide company to spray my lawn to kill the ants. my question is why are the ants only attacking the black lexus. what can i do to save my car from these ants? thank you......

Why is insurance so much on an LS 400?

My dad was going to buy a used 1996 LS 400 with 132,000 miles on it. He got an insurance quote and it's $600 more every six months than he's already paying. Neither him or my mom have been in any accidents so there's no reason for it to be such a high price. Why is it so much?
