Is it better or the same as the Honda Jazz or Toyota Vios automatic tranbsmission? Or will I be better off with a Toyota Corolla 1.6 manual transmission? What about in terms of resale value?

How much would it cost a year to maintain a
1990 Porsche 911 Coupe(964) with
2 Wheel Drive,
Auto-Trans.,&
100k miles on it with 7k miles being put on it every year?

Also what I mean by maintain is EVERTHING!!!
Oil, Brakes, Tune-Ups, Servicing (Major and Minor), Fluids Flushing and Exchanging, Trans., Engine, ETC..........

Also just how much is a rebuild on a Porsche 964 Engine and Trans.

i've got a stock 1974 ford 351 windsor V8, and i wanna add a lil muscle to it, and keep that deep muscle car growling sound, no turbocharger whine! what would be best (and cheapest)? some hooker headers?

My 8.1l/Allison combination is a good mix. Some people talk it down saying it is noisy and will not last. That is driver dependant.
Yes, I can pull a house with it, but to tell you the truth, it's a daily driver for me. I get between 12 and 15 mpg...not bad. i have the LS package and it is quieter than most of the '07 vehicles i've been test driving to replace my wife's explorer.
The only problem with it is it wants to cruise...It feels comfortable cruising,yet....
I keep catching myself hitting the 80-85 mph spot on the speedo...
I love it and won't get rid of it even though GM Nat. service is very poor with customer care. I had a problem that a regional tech/rep as well as the service tech and service writer acknowledged and was inspected by an engineer. The engineer wrote it off as normal body noise. I brought it to a different dealer and pointed out the problem (driver side tie rod) and was subsequently fixed. if you have vibes in steering...look there.

The car hesitates to start.Then it goes to1200 RPM and slowlycomes back to 1000 RPM.Occasionally on start up it has back fired.Could it be a bad fuel regulator?It has no engine codes.I`m stumped.

thanks for all your input; they are kind of ugly but we can't afford much. One thing is, my husband does not want any imports. Dodge Man mentioned a Caravan and they seem to be the same price around the Focus Wagon. I wouldn't mind getting one with some small mileage on it but he wants NEW. Do you people think it would be worth getting the V6 if we are going to go ahead and get a minivan? Are they gas hogs?

I have the Ivory Parchment V8, there is a chrome outline one the front and rear bumpers, it is equipped with the Lincoln 17" Chrome Wheels. Wood Trimming throught the car including the steering wheel and shift knob. Is there a way to tell which LS I have?

I have a 2000 jeep cherokee sport that is all stock. so i want to know if i put a 3 inch lift on it will the height from the ground to the bottom of th jeep raise up 3 inches from the original hight or how does the 3" lift kit actually work.

Have '99 Grnd cherokee 4.7, and engine headgasket is cracked according to my auto mechanic friend. He told me it's not really bad now but it will only get worse.
He told me water(more of steam) is getting mixed up with engine oil and eventually engine needs to be swapped.
He quoted me of engine swap for around $3000.
I bet I am gonna end up spending more than $3000 fixing my car.
I need some opinions/ideas as what I should do with my car.
Should I just sell/trade-in the car while the problem isn't serious or fix it up?
Another question is even if I get new-used engine, will it guarantee me of long years? I don't want to spend big bucks and face the same problem in 1-2 years again.
I thought about trading in my car for 2000/2001 Land Rover.
How is the Land Rover? I looked up some reviews and it has better ratings compared to Jeep Grnd cherokee.
So I'd appreciate any feedbacks from car experts here.
