mercury sable to mercury tracer?

can I put a 1996-1999 mercury sable cd player mounting kit into a 1997 mercury tracer???

Does the Tracer have the AC/Heat controls integrated with the radio faceplate? The Sable does. If yours does also, it should work. If not, run away. BTW, installation kits are not universal, and the Taurus/Sable is rolling proof.

Yes, most mounting kits are universal as in if you purchase a mercury mounting kit for a certain period of years then they will most likely interchange with other mercury vehicles.
