Open the tailgate(hatch) 3 bolts or possibly screws hold tail light assembly in place, after removing them pull swiftly straight out to remove assembly. Should be writing on assembly letting you know what socket holds your turn signal bulb, replace with reccommended bulb otherwise if vehicle information center is in your jeep it will most likely show rear lamp failure.

If I remember correctly if you open the rear door on the jeep there are 2 screws tht go through the door jam into the les if you remove them and carefully pull out on the lens the other side just snaps in. Jeeps have alot of problems with the soucket going bad and making a poor connection when you twist the socket into place so you may need to look into replacing the sockets and or the board that they twist onto if a bulb replaement doesn't cure your problem. good luck.

You may have to remove the whole light assembly. I have a 99 GMC Yukon Denali, and that's what I have to do. Good luck.
