Car Makes - February 2007

I never knew to ask what software version I am running on my 2002 BMW 745Li. Can anyone help me find out how besides taking it into the dealer? Thanks in advance!

I Have a 1992 Jeep Wrangler with stick. Went to drive it today and it wont shift. When i put the clutch in it wants to drive like the clutch isnt properly engaging. Would this be a clutch issue or a transmission issue?

Additional Details

Yes my jeep can easily switch through gears when the engine is turned off. My jeep is a 4 cyl. engine with 5 speeds. I noticed just within the last day that it was harder for me to shift into different gears and realy quickly it wont let me realy switch gears at all with the engine running. And the clutch fluid is full. Thanks for helping me so far, and let me know what you think! much appreciated!

from Rand's auto(don't buy from them, Rand is cool but his son Andy is ruining his good name all for money) kinda screwed me. This Accord was out of alighment enough that the mechanic said camber kit would have to fix it. Seemed a little out of alignment but not that bad, plus rear brakes were toast, but I never went in reverse until I had already bought it. I know some is my bad but dealer would only meet me half way, and the only way they will take it back is if I can prove that it was in a wreck that was not properly documented. Someone please help, what are my options..

my venture is backing antifreeze into the resivior and it is not cooling the engine. the low coolant light is always on. when you take off the radiator cap there is brown gunk. do i need to get it flushed? has anyone had problems with the radiator. oh yeah the heat blows cold air.

Im driving along fine and I slow down to make a turn or just slow for a stop light and it just quits on me then I start it up and the rpm is down and have to keep tapping the gas pedal to get it to keep runniing It has done this a couple of times and its scarey when the breaks and power steering just go off like that .

The FM radio turned to static....all stations - the radio doesn't pick up any FM stations. The AM stations are fine.

I have a 2001 Tracker with just over 100K miles on it. It has developed a serious water leak (fresh water, not coolant). It occurred suddenly. We had some fairly heavy rains the last few days and it is puddling water in the drivers foot well. After a rainy night there was nearly an inch of standing water. No other parts of the car's interior are getting wet. Careful inspection of the drivers door didn't show anything suspicious. The weather stripping is in tact with no indication of water past the stripping. The threshold is dry also. I think it is coming through the firewall but so far I haven't been able to isolate the source.

Has anyone experienced something like this?
Were you able to stop the leak?
If so, what did you do?
Is this a common Tracker problem?

I need to find the visors that are inside of the trucks cab. The ones on the ceiling, not an outside one. The ones that block out the sun on the inside because it goes to the windows. I kept searching with amazon, and advance auto but they dont have them. I tried google 2. I am not goin' through ebay becuz i dont want to auction. So where can i get some?

We just flushed all the fluids on my 01 Limited w/4.7 and the hydraulic fan will not spin and vehicle over heats, we replaced the module at the fan assembly but to no avail.
any advice????

I have a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 that is 4x4. I want to take the v-10 out of their dodge srt-10 truck and put it in mine. i also want to put the transmission and driveline out. Basically i want to custom make a 4x4 srt-10. i am highly qualified to do this sort of thing since i have been working at a mechanics shop for 10 years. How much would this cost??

I am caught in a dilemma. I am buying a Jeep Cherokee soon. I am in love with a 2001 Limited, but it is out of my price range. There is a 2000 Sport with less mileage but the color is awful. Just got my 2003 Grand Cherokee back from the shop. I took it in because I noticed when I went to get gas that there was no metal flap to protect the tank from debris. I opened the "door" on the side of my Jeep, removed the gas cap, & in all of my other vehicals there was a metal slidding flap that moved once the gas nossel was inserted. It wasn't there on my Jeep. The shop said that my Jeep just doesn't come with one. Is this true? Is it safe without one? Won't debris get into the tank? Sorry if this is confusing, but thanks for the help.
