"speed density" is great for what it does but, the mods that you can add are limited, the "Mass air" conversion lets you add more mods, and the MAF will adapt to the "MOD", it's a good upgrade, it can be done for about $250, just go to a "Bone yard" and get the computer, and Mass Air Meter out of an 89-93 Pony, just make sure that the Transmission's match "Auto. computer" for auto. Transmission, Manual computer out of a "5 speed".

Hi The MAF, if not restrictive, will give a better signal to the EEC-IV and result in better control of spark and fuel. I don't know specific numbers for your particular power adder combo, but my '93 LX with a 73mm MAF and 19# injectors works really nice. Has an E303 cam and GT-40 intake, stock heads, MAC shorty headers and 3:55 gears. I really like it.

dude save your money and carburate it. once you spend 400-600 on a manifold another 150 on a MAF, 250 on injectors, computer, cold air kit, fuel log, psi regulator , wiring, TBI you could have awesome carb setup. nitrous or probably a y- pipe or trans upgrades. EFI is great but money spent on EFI stuff is no better in hp than a carb setup but saves you around a 600-1000 bucks you could put elsewhere in the car..
