You don't. The VIN number is on the dash plate at the base of the windshield and is also on a plate stamped in metal and welded to the frame.
Casting numbers are on engine blocks and heads. These tell the genre of the engine.

The 1st is the country where your car was made-1 US,2 canada,3 mexico the 4th is the body type, example- w ,would be a grand prix, the 8th is the engine size code and the 10th is the year code example- 2 is a 2002 Ordering any parts from a dealer would involve you giving them the last 8 numbers of the VIN

FCV is the engine suffix stamping code that tells you the application and size and HP and year
i cant find anything for FCV you may want ot check that again and make sure it is FCV
the V0906 is
V= the flint michigan foundry
0906= day and month
the tff502228= the last part of the vin code of the vehicle it was originall installed in
the full vin code was never put on an engine block
