I am the sole employee of the parts dept in the motorcycle dealership I work at.
I have been running the dept for months. The dealership is in the process of changing hands and the new owners want me to train a new guy, starting tomorrow, that has no experience in the bike biz and knows nothing about motorcycles.
Then they want to make him the dept. mgr. My boss! I have been wanting that job since it became available but the current owner, the one that's selling out, has been trying to sell out and hasn't really given a crap about the dept. since he decided to sell. So he hasn't bothered giving me the official title of Dept Mgr.
I know I'm getting screwed, but my question is: should I train him? If not, then what should I do about it?

I've recently replaced the wipers with quite expensive Bosch ones from Halfords yet they still squeak on one particular area of the windscreen.

A few months ago I bought my civic because I'd been wanting it forever. Unfortunately, the interior has proven to be really cheap and I'm afraid to let a lot of people or my dogs ride in it for fear of getting it scratched. I also, after having driven it for a few months, find the front seat very uncomfortable. This weekend I almost traded it in for the Jeep thinking that an SUV was the way to go in order to combat the dog problem. I'm just so distrusting of American cars. I looked briefly at the CRV and RAV4 but fear I won't be able to afford them. I also worry that they'll scratch just as easily. Will a Jeep Liberty run as long as and as well as my civic? How much should I expect to talk down the dealers? (At Honda they don't budge much on new cars...I don't know how Jeep works.) Any advice on the matter would be great!

it is a 1996 nissan maxima and i was going about 40 mph, it looked as though i ran over something as big as a racoon. I ran it over with the center of my car about a week ago, and now it rattles strictly when i hit the gas. It doesnt matter if it is in drive or nuetral, when the gas is hit, it rattles. I also ran it over with the dead center of my car, the very middle. Please let me know what you think the problem may be.

I have 98 Toyota Runner, 4cly, automatic. I replaced the throttel sensor myslef and i forgot how to remove (reset) the check engine light on my dash. This what i remember on resets. Turn off the car and turn the swich on three times and then press the brake pedal once or twice and then turn the truck on as if i was to drive it. I did this once and it worked but i forgot how to do it again. A college friend told me this but he moved out of state and can't ask him. Go figure i lost his number too. Can anyone help me on this. Thanks everyone.

You know how primer goes on a car first then the real (good) paint goes on. Well if black urethane primer is called primer then can you put a gloss on it or what ever to make it a nice black.

The issue today is that the battery has all but gone dead, and I have tried to use a battery charger to bring it back, but that did not work. The battery charger code says that there is no connection. Then I tried to jump the battery, but that did not work either, the truck acted as if it was not being jumped at all. The vehicle I used to jump it with did not register any sort of load, the lights did not dim and you did not hear the engine work harder. There still is some charge in the battery as the lights will come on dimly. This happened out of the blue, the truck was starting and cranking fine the day earlier. Now it is as if the charge circuit is bad or the battery has an open cell.

I'm thinking the battery, or at lease hoping it is so this does not turn out to be the next big repair bill since the transmission was repaired. Thoughts welcome as I begin to shotgun this issue.

I've got a 1995 Suburban with 270,000 miles and my transmission slips on cold starts. It has a hard time shifting from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. Usually if I drive it for a bit it begins to operate normally. I haven't been able to check if it does this in warmer weather since it's now winter. Could this be a fluid problem, or does it sound like my high mileage transmission is finally dying?

Also, does anyone know what the typical/average charge is for a transmission overhaul/rebuild?

Thanks
