The issue today is that the battery has all but gone dead, and I have tried to use a battery charger to bring it back, but that did not work. The battery charger code says that there is no connection. Then I tried to jump the battery, but that did not work either, the truck acted as if it was not being jumped at all. The vehicle I used to jump it with did not register any sort of load, the lights did not dim and you did not hear the engine work harder. There still is some charge in the battery as the lights will come on dimly. This happened out of the blue, the truck was starting and cranking fine the day earlier. Now it is as if the charge circuit is bad or the battery has an open cell.

I'm thinking the battery, or at lease hoping it is so this does not turn out to be the next big repair bill since the transmission was repaired. Thoughts welcome as I begin to shotgun this issue.

With the symptoms you are giving, you have a dead cell in the battery. It needs to be replaced. Please dont keep trying to start the truck with this battery, or you will chance burning up the starter. The dead givaway to your question was when you said the battery charger code said no connection. A dead cell in a battery breaks a connection.

You either have an open battery in your truck or a very bad connection somewhere. Easiest thing to do is remove both connectors at the battery and attempt to jump start. If everything works normally you have your answer. If it still acts weird, check both power and ground circuits to be sure something isn't corroded or loose or both.

Easiest way to find out is pull the battery out of the car you tried to jump it with and put it in yours.

the first thing I would check is the battery cables not just on the battery either you also need to check the positive connection to the starter

I examine this two times. the way you layer longer tale-proper prose is admirable, and something I even have plenty difficulty with. you're making it look elementary, organic, yet all people who write understand the different is genuine. I often degree the effectiveness of a bite via the form of TD's........Jealousy rears it is green head. Kudos to you, Mr Carney.
