Many have tried using the headers from the 02-04 altimas. It can be successfully installed, however, due to the wideband O2 sensors on the 05-06 models, it will trip the CEL. May not necessarily hurt the car, but there would always be the CEL light, A/F ratio might becomed skewed, and if any other problem were to arise, you wouldn't know. There is a company called Cattman who are currently designing a set of headers for a 3rd gen altima, but it is unlikely they will be able to resolve the wideband O2 sensor issue.

Because the cat converters are located right next to the engine headers are not possable. There is always the possability some one has aftermarket headers and O2 sensor extensions or O2 spoofs. Altering the cars emission controls comes with a hefty fine. Good luck
