Selling a new car and buying another new car will cost you a lot in depreciation. Live with your choice for 10 years, replace the seat or add a cushion to make it more comfortable.

Get the Jeep Liberty ASAP! So much better then the Civic. I had to drive my grandma's 07 Civic up from the Bay Area to Oregon and boy was it uncomfortable and it didn't get anywhere near the gas mileage as it stated and plus the Jeep Liberty look way better then a Civic, Rav 4, and CRV. Also, if you're into activities with your dog I've yet to hear anyone say come on man lets take the CRV or Rav 4 out into the woods. Jeeps are designed for specifically enjoying off roading.

I rented the Liberty for 2 weeks a while ago, the gas mileage was awful, the engine was rough and very crude, it had that rolling misfire - (every now and then it shuddered), the handling was poor, it looks fine on the outside, the inside is made out of very cheap looking plastic. Cured me from ever wanting one of these things forever, the Civic is a far superior car, jewel of an engine, great gas mileage, good handling, nice interior, good resale value.

A CRV will not cost you that much more, especially if you buy it used.
I would not recommend buying any domestic cars. They depreciate in value wayyy too quickly, and often do not last as long.
and honda interior cheap?!? You haven't seen anything yet! Honda has high quality interior compare to most domestic cars. My 2001 prelude's interior looks new. So does my family's 2003 van.
Say no to the liberty and get a japanese car. The new RAV4 is so awesome btw.

ya..i have a 75 lb greyhound..and a 06 ford focus 4 door. he does fine in it. no interior problems at all, and plenty of room for him and my other 20 lb dog. plus us two people up front. look online at car reviews. i love 'american' cars. doesnt matter country of origin or make of cars. look at the individual model. as far as price..well you've taken a big hit in depreciation on your civic already. and you will probably have to pay more monthly if you trade it in now for any car. best bet is to just stay with the civic. put a cover over the seats and deal with it.

Changing cars is going to be very expensive, the Liberty is a good car, but the interior is very cheap, but easy to clean.

KEEP WHAT YOU HAVE BECAUSE THE JEEP LINE WILL NOT LAST LIKE THE HONDA LINE WILL.
ALSO YOU WILL LOOSE TOO MUCH ON THE TRADE IN.
