it is a 1996 nissan maxima and i was going about 40 mph, it looked as though i ran over something as big as a racoon. I ran it over with the center of my car about a week ago, and now it rattles strictly when i hit the gas. It doesnt matter if it is in drive or nuetral, when the gas is hit, it rattles. I also ran it over with the dead center of my car, the very middle. Please let me know what you think the problem may be.

might be a loose splash guard underneath the front fender...or something bent underneath car.

I'd check the front plastic splash shield under the bumper area first, then look further back.
