i have 1996 chevy beretta my heater well the fan went out can someone tell me where its at the fan?

The blower motor and fan is mounted onto the front of the firewall underneath the hood, close to the right side fender.

im pretty sure your not looking for the motor itself like these ppl keep sugesting, if you are than the motor itself is mounted on they left side in the back. it should have a orange or black hoes running to it fron the radiator, unless its an electric. the motor runs past your firewall and into our dash, under the dash on the passenger side there should be a round black box that is where the actual fan is located. the best way to get to the rest of the motor and vents is to remove the back of the glove box, this is easy and gives u alot of room t work.
i just replaced the heater on my 1995 suburban and in order to get at all the esential parts you need to remove the glove box, before u do all this though i would suggest u give the round part a good kick. about a year ago my fan stoped turning and i kicked it and it worked fine, the problem was a quarter got lodged in the fan so a good kick might dislodge it.
note: ( be sure to disconect the battery before doing any major removals)

Open hood ,look at the passenger side strut tower,there in firewall you'll see blower motor.

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

1. Negative battery cable.
2. Electrical connections from blower motor.
3. Blower motor cooling tube.
4. Blower motor retaining screws and blower motor. INSTALL OR CONNECT

1. Blower motor and retaining screws.
2. Blower motor cooling tube.
3. Electrical connections to blower motor.
4. Negative battery cable. NOTE: The blower motor and fan are serviced as an assembly.
