I know its probably the tranny, but there might be a chance it's something else and you guys can help me.

Yes, it was my fault.
I was in a rental. I had the extra insurance coverage on the rental that just covers damage to the rental vehicle.
The passenger sideview mirror came off my rental, but I was able to pop it back in.
The other vehicle was an old truck. It has a long scratch on the cargo bed and some indention of the sheetmetal.
The other guy has my insurance info. I really hope he doesn't call my insurance company.
Do you think he will call my insurance company?
Should I tell the rental car company (Enterprise) about the damage to the rental, even though it is not readily visible?
Thank you.

I was going to change the oil & filter in my sis-in-laws 2001 Focus ZTS & accidently bought the wrong weight oil. I bought 5W-30 & the Zetech engine calls for 5W-20. Well, I was in a hurry & used it anyway. Is that going to be a problem? I wouldn't think so... From what I understand 5W-30 is just a heavier (thicker) oil. Please advise. Thanx.

My car is making a grinding sound that sounds like a pulley. When I turn the A/C on the noise is reduced about 90%. What is this? Thanks in advance.

My sense of directlon is abnormally lacking. Without my GPS, I can only memorize one way to get somewhere and cannot always remember how to get back.

I have and use my GPS. The thing is, I still tend to feel panicky--especially in fast-moving traffick or at night--because nothing ever looks familiar no matter how many times I drive in the area or take the same roads.

I want to know how those with a naturally good sense of direction get around by driving. Do you have a map drawn out in your head from point A to point B? Do you consistently memorize landmarks? Do you easily orient yourself like a compass while driving and figure it out that way?

smells like oil..I had a bunch of things like power steering fluids, etc and also food items like catsup and other plastic things. I washed it all in hot soapy water and the next day went to get it and it all smelled like stinking oil.

I( would like to savage some of my stuff as I already lost several bags of Christams items when they cut off the doors and through broken windows when they towed it..the tow guy said it was all down thr road..I haven't gotten all my items..most is at my sons..he says all the tote boxes are broken and everything is a mess and I am not sure what all I had in there but it was a lot and I want to save what I can..

How can I get this oil off everything or is it impossible?

i connected the alternator the same as the old one, my battery is fully charged ( i charged it after the old alternator died, and tested it today), the only thing i could think of is the electrical connections to the alternator... i put the two i remember taking off back on, but im not sure if there was a third connection. It could possibly be something else, since my headlights work fine, but nothing else electrical works... not even the signals or my interior light. Its not the battery, so im not to sure what else it dould be. Any help would be appriciated.

I have an 88 Nissan stanza that runs good but i've been looking at some newer models of cars. Found a few that were anywhere from $5,000-8,000. i work two jobs and live at my aunt's house while i am in college. She doesnt make me pay rent or anything, so I'm able to save up money. About how much would the monthly payments be? Should i wait? I feel like if i don't buy a newer car that will probably last longer now, I will not get the chance when i am on my own and have to pay rent and all other kinds of bills. any suggestions?? THanks in advance

Hi all,

I need help here. I'm driving a 4 yrs old Mazda 323 protege manual drive.

I encountered a problem these days when I'm driving. When I'm in the 3rd gear, I tried to apply full throttle. The car engine was revving up loudly but the speed remains the same at around 70 - 80km/hr.

I was wondering if my clutch has wear off or if there is some mechanical faults with the engine. Anyone knows what goes wrong?

Thank you.

I've just had my Shadow fork seals replaced (Honda dealer), and I notice faint oil rings after every time I ride. Should I expect this, and if so, is it enough to just wipe them clean regularly? Anything else I should be doing? Thanks.
