when you turn the key over..do you hear a click...could be battery is weak and most new vehicle have to have 10 volts for starter to engage...try jumping car off...if still nothing..might be the starter..or possible ignition switch failure

It still may be the battery. It takes less voltage to turn on the lights then to turn over an engine. I would jump it off using jumper cables or a jump box. If it doesn't start then, I'd look at the fuses and the starter.

just because the lights come on dont mean the battery is not dead, it takes 13.6 amps to start a car and nearly nothing to operate the lights, try jumpiong the car with another car, if its not the battery it may be a selnoid or starter, process of elimination is you start with the battery then the selnoid then the starter, or you may have dirty connections or a loose connection, good luck

May be the nuetral safety switch. Shake the shifter or slowly put it into nuetral while the key is turned to start. If it is out of adjustment this will usually let the car start. if the switch is bad it wont change anything. Look at the headlights and see if they are bright. If they are, it is likely the seloniod or nuetral safety switch.

13.6 Amps? Why do we need batteries with 600-800 Cold Cranking Amps then? Nonsense!Sound like electrical part of your ignition switch bad.
