I have 98 Toyota Runner, 4cly, automatic. I replaced the throttel sensor myslef and i forgot how to remove (reset) the check engine light on my dash. This what i remember on resets. Turn off the car and turn the swich on three times and then press the brake pedal once or twice and then turn the truck on as if i was to drive it. I did this once and it worked but i forgot how to do it again. A college friend told me this but he moved out of state and can't ask him. Go figure i lost his number too. Can anyone help me on this. Thanks everyone.

disconnect battery, both cables..leave off for a few minutes..then reconnect..computer should reset...if not take to advanced auto parts or auto zone and get them to clear codes..but to set the tps sensor...you do turn the key on the 3 times and on the 4 turn spin over...tps should set.
