My partner dropped me off to a friends house, as I got out of the car, a young, uninsured 17yr old on a moped went through the rear windscreen of our car, he has many broken bones, poor boy, his friend was like a headless chicken and although I was close to tears, I had to calm him for his friends sake. We were all young once, so I won't go into details I just hope the poor boy and his friend will be careful and that perhaps we've saved their lives in a way as in years to come they'll not be drugged up and driving. Sorry to go on, I'm in a state of shock and just need you really.

Is this a frequent problem with this car. It appeared to come in through the floor heater. The previous owner kept it in the garage the majority of the time and it was seldom out in rain.

I live in Los Angeles, CA. I crashed my car the other day. I spun out because of a wet spot in the turn. After the officers realized that they couldn't get me on anything else they gave me a ticket for driving on the wrong side of the road!! I was spinning out of control, I didn't purposly drive there! Correct me if I'm wrong but this surely seems like a bogus ticket. How can I fight it?

Original equipment replacement parts is sold over the counter of vehicle dealers and they say they are the same or better than originals. My experience says otherwise. My car muffler lasted nine years. I bought an OE replacement at the dealer for a high price and it lasted less than three years. What do you think?

I am planning to install a cone air filter (those found in autozone) in the place of a stock air box of the air intake. But i am planning to keep the original rubber tube. Is that possible?
I know it will not give as many hp as the CAI... Will there be any problems such as check engine light turning on? Any help is appreciated...
By the way the car is a 95 maxima.

I put a cd player in my durango and when i shut off the car the radio presets dont stay, i took the radio back out to re wire it , i put the constant to the constant wire and the switch to the switch wire, but the radio will not turn on unless all 4 of those are touching, i touched them to turn it on and preset a radio station with the key turned, then i untouched them and the radio made 3 dinging noises, i re touched them and the presets stayed, but when i turn the key off its like the constant wire is not constant anymore, can it have something to do with a fuse or something?

There can't just be a key you turn to turn on the engines. Who would keep them? its so giant, is there just some big circuit that someone flips to turn on the power, and then the engines are automatically turned on?

a few weeks ago i hit a BMW (not a new one a old one, probably around 2000-2003) it wasn't a big accident just a fender bender, it left a scratch on his bumper. No his bumper is not dented in anyway and the scratch isn't that big.
he claims that he must replace the whole bumper and cannot paint over because it will "crack" in later years.
could this be possible?
he claims the repairs to be 500-1000$.
I find this very hard to believe. For this type of scratch the most is atlest 200.

I have a Gilera SMT (yes I know it’s just a 50cc!) and when I am holding the clutch fully in and go down the gears when I get to first it either won't go into gear (and the lever vibrates like hell under my foot) or it makes a loud clunk/bang sound. This happens when I am at speed and pull the clutch in and just drift up to a junction putting it into first - so I will be ready to take off. Please note I am not totally stupid and do not just go straight from sixth to first and dump the clutch! This occurs when I have the clutch pulled in. It seems O.K. if the road speed is low and I am wondering if the gear is partly engaged even when the clutch is fully in and so the road speed is far too much for first gear. Please give me your thoughts on how to sort it out or if you think I'm doing something wrong.
Sorry - I’m sure it sounds stupid but I have just started riding and am really enjoying it however this is very off putting.

Thanks in advance.

The area where it leaks is coming from the top I think. It leaks over the hot metal just under where you pour the oil in. When it leaks and the car runs it starts to smoke. My car is not overheating but the oil is burning on the metal. How much do you think it will cost to fix? Also what gasket could it be? No oil leaks on the floor. My car is a 1991 Honda Accord too.

I have a 05 m3 and looking for new 19" wheels. I saw the ASA ZR2 and the Breyton Spirit, but having trouble deciding. ASA is cheaper and lighter. Breyton is more expensive, heavier, but nicer looking.

Just wanted to ask which ones would people recommend in terms of overall quality.

If a car says that it needs 98 octane fuel in order to function I assume that means leaded fuel. Can you get unleaded fuel in the US with a similar rating that would make a car like that work?
