I am planning to install a cone air filter (those found in autozone) in the place of a stock air box of the air intake. But i am planning to keep the original rubber tube. Is that possible?
I know it will not give as many hp as the CAI... Will there be any problems such as check engine light turning on? Any help is appreciated...
By the way the car is a 95 maxima.

Are you open for a better idea? Replace the air filter inside your present (COLD) air- box With a K&N. Forget the cone filter because you'll forever be drawing underhood hot air. There's more oxygen (wich turns into power) in cold air than stale old hot air.
