Hi,

My 1993 Jeep Cherokee's electric fan will click on as soon as the engine warms up and won't shut off until the engine is shut off. I know this sounds normal, but I've had this Jeep since it was new and the electric fan would only come on when the air conditioner was running or it was really really hot. This started to happen only after I changed the radiator. Could there be a problem with the clutch fan not doing it's job? The engine, however, never overheats.

I took my jeep in because the brakes were rubbing and they told me they had to replace a rear caliper and brakes. They also are changing the spark plugs because my Jeep has 95K miles on it and they said they were all carbed up.
I trust the mechanic there because they have worked on my jeep before. I just dont know what they are talking about. Are calipers expensive and how long should a brake job last?

1995 Camry, can't get it checked at AutoZone.

- Idles high (Normal is 800 but it idles at 1200 in drive and 2200 in park)
- Hesitates from stops
- Often does not start when it is warm
- Doesn't get much power when trying to accel from 45-55
- Sometimes idles normally for short periods of time (about a minute) before idling high again

Please if you have any idea, let me know, this problem is killing me...

Often it's a tight fit so i use motor oil on the hose end and slide it over the pipe. i replace 5/8 heater hose, used oil inside and crescent wrench handle stuck inside to widen it.
My question is will the rubber be affected by the oil? Will the rubber break down quicker because of the oil i used to slip it on?

The engine heated up during a parade and reached 230 degrees before I could exit the parade. I shut it down right away and let it cool naturally overnight. It started right up and seems to run fine. What indicators of damage should I watch for?

My friend's driver's license was revoked, and I haven't gotten mine yet . We might like to go to another town, but we can't drive ourselves . I should go visit my aunt soon . It's hard for us to find a friend to drive us, even if we pay for the gas and buy him dinner . We don't know too many people with a car . Anybody who could drive us either works the wrong hours or is too busy . We can't take a taxi, because a taxi would charge hundreds of dollars for a one way trip . I'm not ready to hire a full -- time chauffer, but an unemployed person might be willing to drive us on a long trip if we pay for the gas, buy him dinner, and gave him twenty -- five dollars . If I was going to hire a full -- time chauffer, I'd go to an employment agency . Why can't I go to an employment agency to hire somebody to drive us on an occasional basis ? How do I find the person I'm looking for ?

Now I'm interested in getting my driver's license, but I don't know whose car I'm going to use to take the driver's test . Letting someone use your car to get his driver's license is a BIG FAVOR ! My parents are both dead, so they can't help me out . Now -- How can I get around this obstacle, and finally get my driver's license ?

Why do people creep up the on-ramp at 30-40mph when they know that they will need to be merging with on-coming traffic? The on-coming traffic is moving at 65-80mph. I see this everyday and wonder why people don't realize this. Anybody know?

I'm looking at an 03R1, it's got some paint missing on the rear wheel rim under the caliper, it looks like some liquid dripped down and ate the paint, the rear master cylinder was also very low.

Is this a rear brake leak?
If there's no visual spill when I pump the pedal what's another way to verify a leak?
