Why is deisel priced so high when it is less refined than other fuels? Before prices got out of control a year or two ago it was the cheapest of the fuel options. It doesn't make sense that it cost less to get it to the pump but ends up being the most costly.

Driving home last night doing about 29mph on a 30mph speed limit over the white lines where the speed cameras are and once i was over the white lines i picked up a bit f speed. Then somebody in the car said oh someone just got flashed behind us and then i convinced myself that it was me even though i was not over the limit o n the white lines, but i thought because i picked up a bit of speed abut 200 yards after the white lines they flashed me.I would just like to know is it only on the white lines they can do you.I know the cameras are there for a good reason, but does anyone else think 3 points and a fine is a bit steep.
