I own a shop, and deal with a lot of race stuff. These ought to be some good heads. Small combustion chambers, big valves, and flow pretty darn good for Chevrolet heads. I would think you wouldn't want to go over a 45, or lower than a 44 on the heat range. As for which type to get, that would depend on if its a taper plug, or one that uses a sealing ring. I would try to stick with AC though. If you are running headers, then you might want to go with the Accel shorty plugs, as these give you more room for your spark plug boots. Since you are obviously making some compression, then don't go too hot, or you will burn a piston. A 44-45 ought to put you where you need to be. In the AC it probably uses an R-44TS, and gap it depending on your ignition system. HEI would be from .035 for early, and .042-.045 for late model system. Try the .042, and if it doesn't seem to get down, then you might try re-gaping to .035 and that should fix it.
Glad to help out, Good Luck!!!

you in straightforward terms have the spark plug wires and the coil twine from coil to cap to bypass. those wires are the weakest link interior the ignition gadget and are frequently what's incorrect with this motor. I recommend changing the completed set of plug wires and employing the GM alternative or Delco alternative kit because it truly is a high quality kit and the wires in wonderful condition into each and every of the holders. Use the plastic holders as those shop the wires removed from the warm spots of the motor. some normally spoil aside, so attempt to get some new ones or trend your individual because it is important to maintain the wires secure. stable good fortune.

Most of what you are asking depends on what type of ignition system you have along with the motor size. For point type, HEI-carb., HEI-TBI, or HEI-PFI 350s all the spark plug types are different. What you do is go into a parts store with the relevant information and get them to look it up.
