One of my best friends is 28 and has yet to receive his license. His excuse is that he doesn't test well. Ever since I've known him, he's only had his permit and uses public transportation. Any place we go, either I or someone else has to play chauffer. Whenever someone brings up the fact he's unlicensed, he takes it personally and doesn't want to hear what they have to say. Everyone has made offers to help him either with road lessons for experience and/or money to help him get his license, yet makes little to no effort to do so. This has caused aggrevation for some of us for awhile now. He has a fiancee and a 1-year-old son and I'm afraid that his lack of driving experience will cause a problem should there be an emergency. How can I bring this up or segway it into the conversation?

So I'm sixteen, and my dad said OK to the Eclipse 2007, and everything, but then theres the insurance problem.

They said I cant get it without charging my dad and me a ton of money.

I'm EXTREMELY attached to this car, basicly as much as lambo fans dream of getting a lambo, but probably even more, because I have a chance of owning this car eventually.

I've planned everything, I got a job, I've got saved up for vertical doors, the hook ups, sound systems, everything.

I have got to have this car, please, is there ANY way of getting my insurance to insure the Eclipse?

I currently have State Farm, but my dad knows how much I LOVE this car, and how much it means to me, and is willing to switch insurances if they will insure me, but so far, none have

please, are there any insurance companies that will insure the Eclipse to a 16 year old?

or a way to get them to?

Please and Thanks :((((((((

And again, I'm feeling so depressed right now, I have no idea what I'll do if I don't get it :(

I am trying to find out the name of the plastic cling that is on the back of school buses to let them see lower than the window. It allows you to see wider and lower than the window. I have seen them on Vans and also on RVs. Can anyone tell me what they are called or where to get them? Thanks

I got a 2000 sport with a cracked head, no doubt about it, 2 different mechanics same diagnosis. The beast has a 130k on it, a couple dings and some chipped pant, if it were running good I could probably get 3500-4000 for it.
The first mech said replace the whole engine with a used one he could get at the local auction. He would charge me 700 for the engine and 1000 to install it. He said installing a rebuilt head could cause other problems like the piston rings failing.
The second mechanic said a new head would be 1500 just for the head +labor and recommended a used head (tested) 400 for the head +700 labor. With a qualifier in there "unless something else is broken"
I'm on the fence with this one but i've only got a few days to decide. what would you do? Fixing it myself is unfortunately not an option. I have the skills to do it, just no garage or proper tools or time.

I'm not necessarily looking to sign up for a full set of flight lessons, but maybe just try out one day with an instructor. Does anyone know of companies that offer something like this? Or better yet, done it yourself? Thanks!

If not, shouldn't there be? I ask this, because whenever you come upon an accident with a car and a large truck/SUV, there always seems to be alot more damage done to the car than the SUV. Another idea would be keeping SUVs and large trucks to the right lanes only, like they do with 18 wheelers.

when i start my 95 corolla, the RPM's go up to past 2 when they normally go to one. if you leave the car running, it takes about 8 minutes to get the meter back to 1. i have had this thing checked, and nothing. its NOT cold yet here (60's and 70's). no vacuum leaks, no sensors, the car passed emmisions with flying colors, the check engine light is on. anyone know?

I have seen people actually go faster over a speed bump, I have seen them square up so that both front then the rear tires hit at the same time. I have also seen people go at an angle. So what is the best way so that you won't misalign your vehicle?

Can only start car by pouring gas into carb...will then start perfect and run for as long as there is gas in the tank. Idles perfect also and excelerates perfect also.
Now if the car sits for a few days no gas will squirt out my jet. The accelorator pump is fine and the fuel pump is fine also.
When i get the car started, then let it run for a bit, then shut it down .Then checking the carb it will sqiurt gas .When i check the next day {this is done with out starting the car}...carb still sqiurts gas out my jets, wait five days no gas squirts out .....does that mean my bowl is empty ? is leaking?if so is that something that can be fixed?
thanks

I am following a car and entering into the far right lane as we approach an intersection. The car in front of me suddenly slams on her brakes and I hit her at 3 - 4 mph, after slamming on mine. She admits that a corvette on the opposite side of the light appeared to be making a U turn in front of her, which is why she did not complete her right hand turn and just slammed her brakes at the intersection instead of continuing her turn. She yielded, by braking, even though she had the right of way. I was behind her and rear ended her car. Do I have total liability?

I was driving my brother home from work the other day and he was sitting on the passenger side. A couple weeks back i noticed that the right exhuast pipe was pretty low to the ground alot lower than the left side. Well my brother around 290 pounds mabey less we went over a speed bump and heard a scrapping sound i never heard this before, we went over another and heard it again. I pulled the car over and told him to get out the car for a second and he did an noticed about a 3-4inch the car went back up. What is wrong is the pipe to loose or stop giving my brother rides.(Heres a picture notice how the right exhaust is lower than the left it's a dual exhaust)

i had a car accident. My wife who was driving was not at fault. I was the passenger. My 2 year old son was in backseat. Our car was totaled (it seems) and his car had minimal damage (blown tire/axel). Can the driver who ran the red light be sued?

No one was hurt. We however went to the doctor to dot our 'i's' and cross our 't's'. My wife is concerned about getting the value back for our vehicle, being that we just bought the car and owe Honda/bank. Immediatey our witness called his friend or colleague who is some legal consultant. He was basically schooling us on the 'accident' game. I don't think he was an attorney but seemed to be what's called a 'runner'.He insisted we use his "no fault" doctor to get checked out. We decided not to.

All,

My father-in-law just accidentally broke the rear left hand side tail light on my 2003 530i. Using Bavauto.com as a guide, it appears that I need to purchase part #63 21 6 902 529. If I buy this part, can somebody give me some directions on how to replace it? I'm not very handy, but can follow good instructions.

I would appreciate any and all guidance on this.

Thanks very much!

James
