Slightly gutted. Past my bile test in 1990, rode a CBR1000f for 9 months, haven't riden since. Move address twice. Went to buy a Yamaha on Saturday, only to find that the DVLA had taken off the bike element sometime between 1991 & 2006. Now I've got to go through the CBT and other bits again. CBT costs around £150 (then stay on a small bike for 2 years), or direct costs around £580.
DVLA say I should have photocopied the licence whenever a change occured. They never lost the licence, just took the motorcycle element off it.

I have been thinking hard about buying this car but would like some realistic assessments based on people's experience of driving this car. Thanks.

I don't like the idea but of course I have to do it.

Sometimes there are large discounts on 2007 models and I guess it's impossible to know what haggling will work on them.

But for a 2008 model, are there good, easy procedures to follow?

I am having a tough choice deciding whether or not to get a used S 500 or a brand new C 300. Right now I drive a 1994 S 320 black interior and exterior. It is big and I like that. I mean the new C300 is a good look more technolgy and all but small. I used to associate the C class for ladies but Mercedes changed that with the 08 model. The only thing against the S class is a couple years old. I would get either with black leather and black exterior. They would both be in the same price range. I'm a young guy on the fence. OPINIONS greatly apprectiated.

I have a front wheel drive 1994 Mitsubishi eclipse, that i want to convert to rear wheel drive. I also race these cars on dirt track (Eclipse/lasers/talons)

i have a theory. If i took the rear axle out of an all wheel drive 1994 Eclipse, and put it in my car, braced the frame, and welded everything secure, technically, if i did the work myself, could i do this fairly cheap? i can always get a custom drive shaft, if the exhaust needs moved, no problem was putting a dual one on anyways... any oppinions?

What is the least expensive new car to purchase? It's been so long since I bought a brand new car, I don't know what the prices are anymore. The last new car I bought was an '88 Chevy Nova. I had it for 15 years. Great car.

Hello, Earlier today my 07 Cobalt was low on fuel, and I wanted to see how many MILES I had before E, (the fuel range on the digital display) however, no matter what I did the display only read "LOW FUEL RANGE", is there any way of seeing the number instead of this?

Also, has anyone driven this vehicle in colder conditions, becuase the display read "ICE POSSIBLE" tonight, and it was 38 degrees. Just wanted to how it knows that? amazing.

This might sound lame but I wonder if people can help me by forwarding me links to websites that have instructions (step by step) on how to drive a manual car - including all the little details - when I should shift gears, at what speed, how to do hill starts - that would be GREAT thanks. I'm taking driving lessons anyway but I'm poor and can't afford too many, if I can learn the theory also it will really help!! THANKS!!!

It is sometimes possible to move a vehicle with a manual transmission just by putting it in gear and cranking the starter. This is useful in an emergency situation where the vehicle will not start, but must be immediately moved (from an intersection or railroad crossing, for example). It is also easier to put a car with a manual transmission into neutral, even when the transmission has suffered damage from an accident or malfunction. Many modern vehicles will not allow the starter to be run without the clutch fully depressed, negating this advantage, but some manufacturers have begun to add a clutch start override switch so that this advantage may still be enjoyed when necessary.

i did a quick search on google and found lots of trucks that have the clutch start override switch. Does anyone know of any sedans with the aforementioned clutch override switch or equivalent?

I live in Reno NV I might drive to the Bay Area, But that's about my limit. I'm not really ready to do it yet but maybe in about a year or two. I'd like an LS1 or a ford 4.6 DOHC. Any info would be awsome. Thanks.

Which one should I get as my first car (and don't tell me none of them, because it is going to be one): 1998 LS 400, 2002 GS 430/300, 1998 SC 400, or 2002 IS 300? I like all of them, but which one would be the best. I think I like the LS the best, but what do you think? They all cost around the same, anyway.

I bought a cheap car to fix. It does not start, but it turnsover. I found that the camshaft was bent so I'll need a new one.
Does anyone know if that was the only problem in starting? I checked the starter relay and that fine.

Is it worth fixing or should I just get a whole new engine?
