All the throwout bearing does is facilitate movement of the free clutch plate away from the flywheel plate. If it fails, the free plate will be permanently engaged and the clutch will not function at all. If the clutch is disengaging the end=gine from the transmission, then your problem is probably the shifting fork or the synchronizers.
Have a mechanic loook at it.

If your clutch mechanism is mechanical there's an adjustable rod which pushes the clutch fork inwards when shifting gears. In your case by effectively lengthening ( they are all adjustable) the rod which presses on the clutch fork will allow the throw-out bearing to disengage the clutch wider form the clutch disc. Your clutch petal will disengage the clutch at a higher point on the floor board.
