professional position of Activity Coordinator at an Independent Living Seniors Rental Apt. (2). Two women who always complain (and nobody there likes) did not like my policy on one thing, both gave me the cold shoulder and complained to the Presdent. The man who was elected as President of the Residents' Council wanted the job but he was overseas at the time it was offered. This was done purposely by the General Manager because she despised him because of his deceptfulness and dishonesty. He continually gave me a hard time, redundant work to do even though it was not his place and always complained to the Board of Directors (with whom he was tight) and who were never around to see my work. My General Manager always told the Board of Dir. that I was learning and doing well, however, they fired her with a lame excuse. Less than 3 wks later El Presidente conspired with the two female complainers to lie to the Board of Dir. to tell them that I was not doing my job well. I was doing well.

i'm 18, im more than willing to get a job and work hard at it, im also willing to take it down a notch and go to a local college for a year or so till i can afford to transfer to the university of my choice....i would really like to move out, not in a nasty way, i would still like to be near my parents ( ie. same city etc) and we are on good terms, but i just dont want to live with them anymore. how do i go about getting out on my own, without any help from my parents, who are opposed to it? i mean, what are the steps, the things i need to do and make sure i do (besides the obvious ones like get a good job, which is my gameplan for this summer) and legally, what needs to be done, if anything? my parents are even starting to limit what college they will 'let' me go to, and i really want out...help!

Recently my wife put in her two weeks notice (in writing) at her old job. The next day they decided to let her go. Since she was cut early, does her former employer "owe" her for the two weeks that she committed to work? If so, who should she take this issue up with (the former employer, the employment office, etc.)? If it matters, we are residents of Illinois. Thanks!

I'm doing an essay about mistakes and how most people don't like to admit them--- and I'm half way through but I was wondering if anyone has any examples about common mistakes we humans make -- and how it makes a difference in our lives for the better.

Have any ideas?

I have a bachelor's degree in psychology. I am looking to get a master's degree in a field that has flexible scheduling so that someday if/when I have kids, I can work part-time. I would also like to make a decent salary... I'm certainly not expecting to be rich, but something that isn't low-paying would be nice. Does anyone have any ideas...?

Thanks!

Here's the deal. I just got a part-time job at Pick N' Save. When I applied, I was pretty desperate, and I put my availablility open everyday from 8 am to 9 pm, except for Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. But I didn't realize that on Monday mornings, my mom works @ 8. (and she's my ride).

So, if they schedule me for like 7:30 every Monday, I'll be fine. But I don't think they'd do it.

AND there are important classes I want to take that start up on April 9th, and they're on Monday nights from 7-9 PM.

Please help! I just started this job last week, and I need it! Will they fire me?! What should I do?

Is it true you can collect unemployment in Florida if you were fired (for something such as attendance)? I cannot find anything online about the guidelines.

My husband works, but its hard to live off of one income these days. I don't want to do surveys and I should have to pay for a job. I look on craigslist and similar sites daily, but still nothing. If anyone has any suggestions, I would love to hear them. Thank you all...PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!

Hi everyone

I have this guy at work, who is based in another office..he is in London, we are based in Birmingham, because he has been there for 3 years and we have been here for 2 months, he called us to say that he was the supervisor.

The managing Director said that he is not the supervisor,
another sales director has said that he is not a supervisor either

I told this 'supervisor' that until I see his new contract with the job title SUPERVISOR on the top then he can tell me what to do.

What do you think, you have to get a new contract if your job title changes dont you?

"Can you tell me about something you're good at, but hate doing?"

I was asked this during an interview. I wasn't expecting this question so I just said I thouroughly enjoy everything I do. I wasn't sure if I should of mentioned something about my job that I dislike but show them how I excel at it, or if saying "I hate this..." would show that I'm a negative person.

Wow what a loaded question.

I groom dogs which is hard and takes strength. I could barely hold my head up. The manager kept accepting dogs even though she knew I was not well.

When you walked in the door and asked for one they told you they werent?
Would you complain about it? Go back later? Just mark them off your list and look elsewhere?

How do you deal with a coworker who feels that nothing the company does is good enough. My coworker is never ever happy about anything and constantly complains about her (my) boss, the company actions, the lack of support, etc. Whether or not the company does anything for thier workers is completely irrelevant. How do you deal with someone like this?I've tried ignoring her and it doesn't help. I've also told her there is nothing you can do, so oh well. Any ideas? Please help!!! She is constantly making work an awful place to be and I love my job.
