Here's the deal. I just got a part-time job at Pick N' Save. When I applied, I was pretty desperate, and I put my availablility open everyday from 8 am to 9 pm, except for Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. But I didn't realize that on Monday mornings, my mom works @ 8. (and she's my ride).

So, if they schedule me for like 7:30 every Monday, I'll be fine. But I don't think they'd do it.

AND there are important classes I want to take that start up on April 9th, and they're on Monday nights from 7-9 PM.

Please help! I just started this job last week, and I need it! Will they fire me?! What should I do?

They're not going to fire you for changing your availability. Most employers are pretty flexible about things like that. Just explain this to them and they should be cool with it. And make sure you are on time and show up to every shift you are scheduled for.

Just get to work early and they'll be so impressed with you never being late you'll be promoted to president and run the company. Not really but getting you to work isn't their problem, welcome to the world of responsibility.

No, they won't fire you. Just talk to your boss and explain the situation.

talk to your boss....explain what schedule will work best for you....as long as you can work most nights and weekends they probably don't care.....the worst they can do is say no....
