At the end of the group interview, the interviewer said she’d get back to us in about a week to tell us if we got the job, but I was wondering if they called a little earlier or a little later than a week. I’m just wondering, because I want to know if I’m waiting around for a phone call or just wasting my time. Oh and also, how much do/did you get paid and what's the employee discount?

I was given a letter of acceptance and have had nothing but raving reviews. The business manager has it out for me and has pulled strings enough to have the offer withdrawn. There are no fulltime positions as hotline counselor until me. I have been getting almost 120 hours every 2 weeks and have been busting my @$$ here. My boss says he is going to the mat for me and I hope he gets it through. I need the insurance and w/ so many hours I need to earn time off as well. Can they withdraw an offer like that if it was not withdrawn for work performance? Have any advice?

I work for Ecolab, and the plant I work at is the ONLY Ecolab in North America (so I heard) that isnt union. We get paid crap, and whenever we get a raise, the cost of our insurance goes up.... which pretty much takes away our raise. So without letting my company find out about it, because you know I'll get fired... how can I request to take a vote to have the company move to a Union with out Corporate finding out who requested the vote??? Just to keep me safe. :)

The idea is to elicit the best behaviour of the boss to remain in his good books. Should one's behaviour be such as to - potray slight weakness/ill-health or should it show extra eagerness to take up on the work (the latter should be sustainable though).

ok....this is how it goes. i was hired in january of this year at a grocery store, in the delicatessen (i slice sandwich meat & cheese). i was hired at $6 an hour, which was fine at the time, while i was still in highschool. but now, almost 8 months later, i'm still making the same $6. but what pisses me off is that just last month, we hired 4 new people, and each one of them was hired at $7. now, i can ask for a raise, but it would be even more of a slap in the face if they take me up to $7, the same as people who haven't even been there 2 months. what do you think about my situation?? would it be asking too much to ask for more than $7 ? oh yeah, and did i mention that i have been in that department longer than all 8 other people that work with me, including the manager? any help w/ this situation would be appreciated.

Okay the benefits that come with the job are Medical, Dental, 401k, Health Care Spending Account, Family Care Spending Account, Short-term, and Long-term disability, Employee Assistance, and a couple others. So my question is What is a Health Care Spending Account, a Family Care Spending Account, and Employee Assistance? I mean, what do those 3 do for me?
