I cant stop spending money!! Im turnin 17 in a couple of months and I've had a job for about 3 months and have spent every penny of it including money that I get from my dad. In a matter of like 5 months I've probably spent over $5,000 on shopping for myselff. and I can't seem to save any money.... Oh and I don't go to school because I already graduated high schoooll (ahead of everyone my agee). So is this kind of spending normalll or is it just me?? I feel like im addicted or something..

I am 14 years old and a little confused right now. (Unheard of, right?) Not about anything super serious, but this eats away at me. I am wondering what I want to do with my life in terms of my career.

I have narrowed down my choices, all of which are reasonable for me.

I have wanted to be a doctor for most of my life. To be true, I do want to help people, but I feel that I am really going into the Medical Field for the money and for the right to call myself a Doctor, if you know what I mean.

For about a year, however, I have taken up an interest in Law Enforcement. I wanted to go into the FBI, CIA, or, most recently, the Secert Service. However, the money is not here. I feel that I truly want to be here, but if I cannot live comfortably, I do not feel as though it is worth it.

Thirdly, possibly the most farfetched idea, would be something along the lines of real estate developing. I have no idea how to go about doing this, so I am open to all ideas.

(don't say it depends on the profession--that's an obvious answer).

does minimum wage apply to all bussinesses? i told my dad i was trying to get a job at dairy queen and he said i probably wouldn't get minimum wage. i said that the reason they have minimum wage is that it is the least they can pay you.

and what is the new minimum wage anyway? i know it was 5.15 but they changed it.

and when does the new minimum wage go into effect?

both of these careers are obviously very different. im big with music and always wanted to be a professional musician until i got older and realized that i wont be making nearly enough money to pay for myself and a future family and the odds of making it big in the music career is seldom. i took music producing classes in high school and thought about becoming a producer. does anyone know if a music producer makes very good money or should i persue a career in accountanting and be safe, my cousin works for the 2nd biggest accountanting firm in the world and said he could hook me up, but im stuck on what i should go to college for. i want to make alot of money and be happy and secure with my life. what do you think?

I was approached by an employment agency about a job, it sounded good, and was a staff job, paid by company and not a temp job paid by agency, so I went for interview, and was offered job, said "yes" and handed in my notice at my current job and currently working one months notice. Now realise I've been mislead. The job on offer is not paid by company but by the agency so I'd be a 'temp' for a year. Thing is I've said (before I knew about contract status) that I'd work over Easter hols during my notice period with other company. Is a verbal agreement binding can I unaccept the job on grounds of being lied to and how do I get out of going to work there before I've finished my current notice period??? I've not signed anything and not seen contract.
