I've noticed she hasn't kept the house up very well in the past few Months. Also she has been so busy with her job she doesn't have much time to take my calls during the day. I called her at work because I couldn't find the remote (that she lost) her boss told me that she was too "busy" unless it was an emergency. I'm very addicted to 3 shows I really like. I like to eat at 5:30, yesterday we had to eat at 7pm because of something at her work, bla, bla, bla. Her Dad treats me like s**t, he told me to look for the remote in my work boots..ha, ha, he say's that because he knows I've been out of work for 4 years. My mom had to come over to cook the other night...she said the kitchen was completly wrong, so she rearraged everything the right way...then Patty blows a gasket..she was so mad because my mom helped her out! I couldn't believe how angry she got, my mom said she needs to shut-up and learn from her...I agree!! She just seems to be a little lazy when it comes to doing things.

Alright, I'll keep this short as possible. I'm 21 and I run a web design business. I'm single and have my own place. I have a lot of things I'm wanting to with my company, I have goals I plan to achieve and I have other projects I want to with other websites. I've been doing websites since 1998 and I completely love it to death.

Some of the things I'm wanting to do may require me to work on the computer 12 hours a day some times. I feel I may miss out on other things in life such spending time with my friends or meeting a potential partner. But at the same tme I have this drive in me to become the best at what I do which I set out to do when I was 12 years old.

What advice could you give me about my situtation? Thanks in advance.

I'm currently in contract for a position as a camp counselor this summer. I've been working at this camp for 2 years, and this is my 9th overall year of attendance as a camper/counselor. I've also got a younger brother who is still a camper who my parents are paying full tuition for.

Here's my problem. I was originally supposed to be taking driver's ed this summer over the weekend. However, this fell through, and my only option if I want to be able to drive by the start of next school year is to take driver's ed in the early morning. This would entail being 30 minutes late to camp for 3 days a week for half the summer. (Camp is 7 hours long). I really, really want to drive, and I think its worth it to at least give the issue a shot with my employer.

I'm planning to set up an appointment to discuss the issue. I don't expect them to just let me do it; I recognize that some concession will be necessary on my part. Any suggestions on how to address this?

I mean money.

Our company pay based on how many clients we sign. The top sales persons can sign 3 person per day on average. And that is $40 Australian dollars per sign. On my first day, I signed one customer successfully, but my boss told me that he had a problem with my working attitude.

Now let's do that maths, we work 10 hours per day, and if we sign 3 people, that is $120/ 10 hours, that is $12/hour. If we are not lucky, (just like my "boss" on that day), we could only sign 2 people, then it's $80/ 10 hours, that is $8 per hour. To compare, the a waiter in China town earns $8 per hour. And if I am not lucky, I can only sign one person, that is $4 per hour.

I am not very happy with the pay and the "boss" is having problem with my working attitude --- he wants me to work harder. Well I am currently in uni, let's be realistic, can I find a job with better pay than this? Should I leave the job or not?

I have to reply to my boss if I want the job or not by tonight.
Thanks

I am considering working in the cell phone industry. I have been told that cell Co's. have implemented a thing called charge-backs to the rep that sells the service to the customer if they don't keep the plan for a certain amount of time. With the technology in the new phones today, it seems like it would be pretty hot. Tell me,can a person make great money in this industry?

Today I'm told that my position is being eliminated and I was being let go. I'v worked for this medical office for 4 years. Two weeks ago I requested to go back to the department where I worked for over 31/2 years. I was told that they didn't want me to go back to that depart because I have a lot of knowledge that they need for the depart they put me in. Today I'm told "Bye, Bye" No severance package. Just 8 days pay. The doctor didn't even have the guts to do it, he made his office manager. Coward!!! All I wanted to do was stay working there until I could retire in three years. What the hell gives with employers? I filed for unemployment but that doesn't take away the sadness because I made some great friends at that job, and it doesn't take away the fear of not being able to find a job. We needs to laws protect employees from random termination. I am the second person they have done this to in a month. I'm scared - any legal ramifications for getting rid of "old folks?

How do I resolve this? Our agreement was verbal, not written, regarding the commission part. I would not have accepted this position without the added income from commission, and I am ready to walk away if I have to, but I'd like to be diplomatic and be a grown up about it. I spoke to my boss and he said it sounds like we may have had a miscommunication. What do I do now? Another conversation, or a letter, or talk to his boss?

I was hired in at my company as medical assistant for the company. They paid me a contractors pay $150.00 a day. I was working almost 450 hours a month and only making $4K. When they had me sign my non exempt employee forms 2 1/2 months later to be paid hourly, they told me by CA law I have to be paid hourly, not salary, and not contractors pay. Then I was cut down to 40-50 hours. Obviously. Then aren't they required to pay me for the HOURS I worked illegally? They used my services for as long as they could and used my time. I was there 13-24 hours a day only making 150 a day outside in the 130 degree heat no air conditioning and no electricity. What do I do to get my money that I am owed? They owe me $18,000 I calculated up my hours including overtime. and that is what they owe me. I wanted to know for sure that what they did is really illegal and where I go to get the documents to prove it so I can take it to the company and demand that money or I will report them?
