what does that typically entail? i'm wanting to apply for a summer job, but it says it requires that. i'm not exactly strong, so it may be an issue.

Depends on the company and what you'll be doing, exactly.

For some companies...it may be indicating a lot of moving around and activity in a fast-paced environment.

In other places...heavy physical labor in just about any environment is toting/moving heavy stuff around. Whether it is stock for a company...or working in a warehouse packing orders and such. This is probably more of what it is referring to, though.

im guessing a construction job? this might not mean heavy as in weight it could mean that there is alot going on and that it could be physically tiring. Heavy labor could just mean alot of physical work.
