I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MISTAKE THEY MADE? IF THEY WOULD HAVE ANSWERED THE GARNISHMENT I WOULD HAVE PAID IT OFF BY NOW! I DON'T THINK I SHOULD HAVE TO PAY BACK THE MONEY!! THEY ARE TAKING ME TO COURT FOR THE MONEY THEY WERE SUED FOR!

Even though the employer answered the garnishment incorrectly, you still owe the debt, the only difference is the employer was made to pay the amount that should have been deducted from your check.

You have to look at it this way, your employer paid off your debt and now you owe the employer instead of the creditor.

Where they sued for the amount that you owed?? Or was it something else? You are obligated to repay the amount of the original debt, whether it be to repay them (If that is what they where sued for and had to pay off) but if they where sued for a different amount, and you still owe the original amount to the original debtor, then i do not see how you would be responsible for their mistake in not answering a garnishment.
