I have had several days off work due to pregnancy related issues. Unfortunately i have had to take another day off as my son was ill. Is there a limit to how many days off you can have to care for a sick child before they fire you?

The problem is that the 50% actually comes out to be around 30% after deductions and taxes so you have to start a new career and work another 20+ years.

ok so i want to know is it in bad taste to give my business card along with my resume to an interviewer. (my business card is more like a personal card it has my e-mail, website and my home and cellphone numbers on them and what i specialize in. i.e. programming,web & graphic design,and IT).
I got the interview through a recruiter... so the company don't know of me: only that the recruiter is sending me to apply for a contract position....??

Hey all...
I got a new job! Today I have to put my letter of resignation in to my old boss. He's a major jerk and I know that he is going to be pretty angry with me when I tell him I'm leaving. What time is the best time of day to do this? I was thinking maybe right before I go home for the day because he will be less of a threat to me, but I wanted to see what other people thought.

I am currently working for a major telecom company in the Buffalo area and the position i am in right now is getting overwhelming, and there is virtually no movement to other departments. It has become a job that many of my co-workwers quite frankly, hate. I have 7 years at my current job (the only thing keeping me there are the pay and benefits) and I have a total of 12 years call center experience. I would be looking at a full time sales or customer service position in the Buffalo center. Can anyone give me some insight as to pay, benefits, working conditions, hours, etc.? Thanks in advance.
