I've just finshed my A-Levels in Politics (Route b Ideologies), Geography and Spanish. I'm really keen to go into a career in politics, but don't know where to go next. I know there are many different ways to do it, so I'd like to ask those who reply to be as specific as possible. Thank you very much.

It doesn't seem right and too personal of information. Why should they know if I have loans, and how much? Doesn't allowing others to view my credit, open me up to possible credit fraud? They say employers can not ask for your age, or if you're married or not. But, this information can be confirmed through a credit check!! Once I denied access to my credit history, & the perspective employer informed me that I would no longer be considered a candidate for a position w/their company. That is NOT right !!

I've never been a manager before and I'm really nervous I won't be a good one. What's the one best piece of advice you can give to a newbie manager before she starts her new career?

This can be answered by people who have been managers or by people who have worked under managers.

Let's say I have a full time job and a part time job, is it legal for my part time manager to force me to take a day off my full time job to attend the monthly meeting and threatening me with wornnings. If in my application and my interview I asked to work certain days and now the manager is asking me to take a day off from my full time job to come to work on the days that I requested not to work on. If I have any rights when it comes to these issues, please let me know.

Are there any legal actions I can take against the employer?

Melaleuca? I signed up for both, not knowing any better, and now need to work one of the programs and cancel the other.

Which one will provide the most income, given the same amount of time? I only have 4 hours a day to devote to either

I'm in my mid twenties and still looking for a media related job, its frustrating as I know I have a lot to offer, however most jobs who ask for juniors then contradict themselves by then saying you have to have vast experience in several media applications, like they want to pay minimum money but get loads of hard work done in the process, I find this annoying, does anyone who's been in a similar position, have any useful advice other than "give up", thanks!

I understand that there is a limit to voluntary O.T. (my brother works 13 days out of 14 with total hours of 104 to 130..and if sick or not showing up, must either use sick, vacation, or official "non-paid time off"). But what is the limit to the number of hours an employer can force employees to work and can they fire a person for not working overtime?

I just got an interview at a bank, it's next week and I'm a little bit nervous. Can you give me some tips on how to act so I get the job and also what to wear? I'm 19 years old so if someone older with experience went in they would probably get it. How would I beat them? Please give me some tips...

I'm studying French language in university in France and will complete my study in some years. I will study something else such as economic or philosophy etc. I'm native Japanese speaker and speak French and English. I like making plans in general and easily get bored. I can't really do "same thing everyday" jobs.

Is there any good jobs I should try or advice?

I am a nurse at a Peds hospital and I LOVE what I do there, but the commute takes and hour. So I cut my hours back to part time there and started to work in an ER that is just minutes from my house. Only problem is, I hate the ER by my house and I just want to quit. I have given it a month and things aren't getting better. So, should I quit the ER by my house, and just pick up more hours at the part time gig, or should I hang in there a little longer?

Do you think I should kick up a stink and threaten legal action, or just leave in a dignified manner with my pride intact knowing I am not in the wrong and it is the companies loss, not mine? It's so much more satisfying to go down in a blaze of flames though, isn't it??

seriously, I've been turning in applications everywhere & the places haven't called me yet, the earliest applications I turned in was like a month ago or a month & a half, & I kept on turning in applications since then, most recent was this past monday, I applied at two grocery stores, 1 fast food place, which is In-An-Out, & the rest was all clothing stores, & they haven't called me in for an interview yet. It's pissing me off, well I've never really had a job before, except for Abercrombie & Fitch, I only worked there 2 days because they ****** me over, like they hired me, but I didn't get any working hours, like every time I went inside the store to print out my schedule, I always had no hours on there, I kept doing that several other times but then gave up, cause it was like that all the time, I asked the assistant manager & she the said the store was going through transition because I applied there, it was at the beginning of January. I only got 1 paycheck which was 45 bucks.
